Welcome!

The Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences offers courses that lead to the
Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree with majors in history and psychology.
In addition to these degrees, the department offers many courses that
provide either general education or elective coursework to support degrees offered by other departments of the university.
The department offers courses in anthropology, geography, history, military science, political science, psychology, social work and sociology.
The Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree program is designed for students interested
in a particular major rather than interdisciplinary education. It is more narrowly focused than the Bachelor of General Studies. Liberal Studies includes a core academic base with the option of selecting a major in history or psychology. The program is designed for students who wish to focus on history or psychology or enter the workforce, or complete professional or graduate work.
